December 13: What’s the best change you made to the place you live?
We finally cleaned out all the empty boxes we've been hoarding for the past 2 years.
The impetus? We discovered a young nest of termites. I realized that there were areas of the house that we had neglected --
Now we are more vigilant about our things -- what should be stored and what should be thrown out.

About the termites --
We had people check out the situation and they said it was very "young" -- so we were lucky to catch it early.
We are using Exterra because it is the most unintrusive method of dealing with the problem. According to the supplier, we should be rid of them in 45 days. ^_^
